The Citadel of Qaitbay (also known as the Fort of Qaitbay) is a 15th-century defensive fortress perched on the Mediterranean coast in Alexandria, Egypt.

It is most famous for its connection to the ancient world: it was built directly on the site—and using the ruins—of the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
